Quote:  “Progress is best in open source”

I have to agree on this. And I think, most people would agree on this too. It’s because open source is like opening your resources to infinity and not being resource less. With open source, you are not limited in a box or whatever limitations you are limited to but it lets you go outside of this box and have no limitation. The good thing about this is that not only can you have the resources, but also it will or can possibly open doors to a new discovery that the world has yet to see. Moreover, the discovery can even help in the development of the world make the world a better place to live in.

Learning Expectation:

Okay, so first of all just like in some other previous chapters, I do not understand what the title of this chapter means. The term Epistemological is a term I have never heard before. So, I don’t know really what to expect from this chapter since the title is really esoteric for me. Although I know it’s about ethics (obviously), I have no idea whatsoever.

Review:

When you first read the first few pages of the book, especially the introduction, you will really get the notion of how on earth does genetics have to do with computer? Yeah sure we have laboratories with computers that analyzes specimen and other things in life but the last time I checked, this book was about ethics. I don’t know, maybe that’s just me I guess. Of course, other people who have read or is about to read this book may have a different notion than mine.

So yes, the first part tells about genetics. It tells us whether the transformation of nucleic acid to nucleic acid is possible or perhaps to transfer protein to protein from protein to nucleic acid. So basically, this chapter talks all about Genetic Information. It tells us or explains to us how computers should do as a computer that would analyze these things that would help scientist.

What I’ve learned:

I have learned how Information Genetics relates to computer ethics now that I have read the chapter because it didn’t make sense to me when before I read the chapter. So now, it all makes sense now.

Questions:

1.    What is Epistemological?

2.    How can problems for Genetic Information be solved?

3.    What if the problems can’t be solved?

4.    How will it impact computers and genetic information?

5.    Can eggs be computer    machineries?
